As the result of the work of 3 days of sessions where the delegates from 85 countries held profound discussions on a variety of topics that affect our peoples and made 227 speeches, in 2 panels, 1 Anti-imperialist Tribune and 6 working commissions, the following action plan has been proposed:
- To establish a common communication strategy, connecting the media with communities, using the new technologies and social media as a powerful weapon for left-wing action.
- To encourage cooperation networks between governments and civil society, promoting democracy on a base of coordinated political thinking. To build left-wing blocks, fronts and think tanks for social action.
- To have the year 2020 become the year of the offensive by the peoples for democracy and against neoliberalism:
- During the last week of May (the 25th to the 30th) organize a worldwide anti-imperialist mobilization. Slogans: No more TRUMP, no to IMPERIALISM, Yes to LIFE
- March 2020, called by the Sin Tierra Workers’ Movement of Brazil (MST): anti-imperialist struggle day – “Hands Together” to defeat imperialism and build socialism j
- To set up 16 November 2019 as International Protest Day in front of US embassies and consulates everywhere, condemning the Blockade against Cuba.
- Participation of friends from other continents at the Continental European Encounter to be held in Russia in 2020.
- Holding the Fifth World Action 2020, called by the Women’s World March, under the slogan of “Let us resist to live; let us march to transform”.
- The call in Bolivia to defend the democratic vote.
- Mobilization called by the Cuba Si Coalition to celebrate the freedom of the Cuban Five.
- International call to celebrate the First of May in Cuba, in 2020.
- To demand that the governments of our respective countries support the Resolution against the blockade to be presented by the Cuban Government on the 5th and 6th of November 2019 at the United Nations.
- To divulge Law 80/1996: Law for the Reaffirmation of Cuban Dignity and Sovereignty approved by the National Assembly at the Fourth Legislature in 1996, and whose Article I declares the Helms-Burton Act as illegal, inapplicable and without effects.
- To attain statements by governments, parliamentarians, politicians, social movements, and religious personalities against the blockade and in support of the Cuban Revolution and to undertake an Action Day in the European Parliament.
- To revitalize the Committees against the Blockade and the regional Solidarity Coordinators to form a common front to this genocidal policy against Cuba.
- To carry out simultaneous actions in every country on the 17th of each month to create media impact.
- To motivate holding protests in front of the US diplomatic and consular offices in our countries and in front of federal institutions in the United States, with special emphasis on the Day against the Blockade in Washington DC.
- To strengthen the structure and unity of the Solidarity with Cuba Movement, enriching its action with the wide, representative participation of the forces of the left and social movements in the battle against the blockade.
- To work on having “Cubainformación” become the alternative media at the service of the solidarity with Cuba movement, to oppose the media campaigns of disinformation and distortion of Cuban reality, and for Europeans to help in its funding.
- To divulge and participate in the International Seminar for the abolition of military bases and for peace being held in Cuba and the organizations for the World Council for Peace (Event on 27 to 29 April 2020: the Caribbean, zone of peace).
- To activate the International Coalition against Military Bases in the United States, made up of 15 movements for peace.
- To promote and stimulate participation at the events organized by ICAP in Cuba and particularly in the solidarity and volunteer work brigades of 2020, as well as in the scheduled activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of ICAP.
- To attain unified action between the left in Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia, Africa and North America in the work of solidarity with Cuba through the International Forums. (Forum of Sao Paolo, European leftwing parties, Caribbean Peoples Association).
- To work on incorporating the youth, our successors and the continuity of the Solidarity with Cuba Movement to the Friendship Associations in our countries.
- To divulge shorts done in Cuba about the blockade and for solidarity projects such as IFCO/Pastors for Peace, France-Cuba and others to inform about the Cuban reality, fundamentally in the areas of health and education.
- To divulge the achievements of the presence of Cuban medical collaboration, opposing the defamatory campaign attacking the prestige of Cuban doctors launched by the current president of the United States.
- To create a space for encounters within the framework of the Festival of the Caribbean among the solidarity with Cuba groups in that area.
- To spread the agreements of the Forum of Sao Pablo in Caracas, Venezuela, July/ 2019 and the Agreements of the Assembly of the Peoples of the Caribbean held in Trinidad and Tobago, August/ 2019, regarding rejection of transnational companies and FTAs.
- To coordinate a World Day condemning the presence of transnational companies in our countries, 25 to 30 May, in the context of the anti-imperialist struggle week called by the International Assembly of the Peoples approved at the 25th Forum of Sao Pablo.
- To inundate the social media with messages against the transnationals and FTAs in every country, promoting their condemnation, as well as declarations from the different union and social movement organizations. Using all digital platforms with labels geared to just that day.
- To encourage the work of direct influence on union, peasant and social movement bases that allow us to move information about the importance of consuming natural products and developing local markets, as a natural form of opposing the FTAs.
- From unions and social movements, to influence the strengthening of domestic economies of the different countries to promote the creation of alternative local markets competing or boycotting transnational products.
- To organize rallies in front of United States embassies or consulates in the world to denounce the neoliberal policies exercised today by transnationals and the FTAs against workers, union leaders, social and peasant leaders, with the identifying slogan for this action and on the social media of UnidosTodos#ContraLosTLC (Everyone United#Against the FTAs)
- To demand that governments support the campaign in the UN to achieve approval for a juridical framework permitting the actions of the transnationals to be regulated.
- To create an Anti-Imperialist Media Alliance to carry out media coverage that is collectively organized and coordinated, for the truth and based on peoples’ resistance.
- Intentionally writing texts, comics, audiovisual programs and didactic materials (memes, GIFs, short films) on the dismantling, decodification and critical analysis of apparently innocuous products in the cultural and entertainment industry, as well as messages in the hegemonic media.
- To encourage making documentaries and feature films reinterpreting the regional history of anticolonial and anti-imperialist struggles. This should be done with the support of the region’s progressive governments.
- To introduce courses about the cultural war for communicators of left-wing parties and political organizations, given by intellectuals involved with that war. To draw up a list of possible professors who could join said task.
- To establish anti-imperialist coordination headquarters at TeleSur.
- To strengthen actions and influence towards alternative media such as Hispantv and Rusia Today.
- To carry out a World Anti-Imperialist Day that serves as the detonator for this event.
- To undertake a world campaign to reject colonialism, after the meeting of the Special UN Decolonization Committee.
- To call on the women of the world to an international women’s committee against the blockade.
- To create Latin American and Caribbean culture centers in different countries to serve as bastions of cultural resistance.
- To coordinate the youth to hold permanent actions that are systematic and intensive, condemning the escalated aggression by US imperialism against the Cuban people, via the Hands off Cuba campaign.
- To carry out political/ideological education and training programs for the new generations, taking as a guide the legacy of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz and other referential leaders, to be tools to confront the aggressive policies and manipulation directed at the youth.
- To create a youth network of solidarity that allows them to connect with representatives of the organizations present at the event and others through Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp.
- To draw up a group of left-wing youth solidarity actions with the presence of Asia, Africa and Latin America. (re: Tricontinental)
- To determine common understanding of imperialism and to publicize it to confront the systemic and multifactor imperialist aggression threats against Cuba: to call for a conference to discuss the forms of organizing the solidarity with Cuba movement and to constitute an international anti-imperialist organization.
- To create a strategy supporting the rights of indigenous peoples and groups, and to support any attack against indigenous rights and peoples and the blockade against Cuba and for respect for Mother Earth.
- To hold a day of massive actions on 28 January 2020, on the fifth anniversary of the Proclamation of Latin America as a Zone of Peace approved at the CELAC Summit in Havana in 2014.
- To call for mobilization for the International Anti-Imperialist Day called for May 2020.
- To promote solidarity with the Haitian people, protagonists of the first anti-slavery revolution in the western hemisphere. To carry out a Solidarity Encounter in December of
- To promote solidarity with the people of Puerto Rico, their independence struggle and their Latin American and Caribbean identity.
- To encourage international venues, the demand for European powers to recognize their historic responsibility and to participate in the reparations for damages caused by the enslavement of our peoples.
- To participate in the Assembly of the Peoples of the Caribbean to be held in Haiti in August of 2021.
- To constitute an International Confederation of Communes, Social Movements and People’s Power, united around a plan for struggle.
- To create an International Network for Peoples’ and Alternative Communication.
- To hold an anti-imperialist concert “Embrace of the Peoples” on 10 November in Chile.
- Hold a national strike for the struggle for life on 21 November demanding compliance with the Peace Agreements and against their assassination of social leaders in Colombia.
- To hold a Summit of the Peoples in Chile in December of 2019.
- To flood the streets on the First of May in different countries, especially at the embassies of different countries under the slogans of: Out with Trump! Out with Fascism! Long live the peoples who struggle! Their fight is our fight!
- To hold an international day of struggle against imperialism from the 20th to the 25th of May, in every country.
