El Instituto Cubano de Amistad con los Pueblos (ICAP) condena enérgicamente la intentona de golpe de estado en Brasil al presidente Luis Ignacio Lula Da Silva, acometida por grupos de la ultraderecha
fascista bolsonaristas que asaltaron las instituciones de poderes en el distrito Federal de Brasilia.
Estos actos violentos y antidemocráticos, con el objetivo de socavar el orden constitucional, demuestran el desespero y temor del imperialismo ante el renacer de gobiernos progresistas en nuestra América, pretendiendo instalar los golpes contra los procesos democráticos, desconociendo las decisiones de las mayorías. Debe respetarse el derecho legítimo del pueblo brasileño que en las urnas
decidió votó #LulaPresidente.
Hacemos un llamado al movimiento de solidaridad con Cuba, a las fuerzas progresistas, hombres y mujeres de bien, luchadores por las causas justas, a mantener su más irrestricto apoyo al hermano Brasil
en este momento crucial.
Ante el repudiable e inadmisible hecho, ratificamos nuestra solidaridad con el presidente Lula, con su gobierno y con el hermano pueblo brasileño. ¡#TodosConLula!

Statement by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) against the attempted coup d’état in Brazil against President Luis Ignacio Lula Da Silva.
The Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) strongly condemns the attempted coup d’état in Brazil against president Luis Ignacio Lula Da Silva, carried out by groups of Bolsonaro’s far-right fascist groups who assaulted the institutions of power in the Federal District of Brasilia.
These violent and anti-democratic acts, with the aim of undermining the constitutional order, demonstrate the desperation and fear of imperialism in the face of the rebirth of progressive governments in our America, pretending to install coups against democratic processes, ignoring the decisions of the majorities. The legitimate right of the Brazilian people, who at the polls decided to vote #LulaPresident, must be respected.
We call on the movement of solidarity with Cuba, the progressive forces, men and women of good will, fighters for just causes, to maintain their most unrestricted support for brotherly Brazil at this crucial moment. In the face of this hideous and inadmissible act, we ratify our solidarity with President Lula, with his government and with the Brazilian people. All with Lula!
