MENSAJE DE CONDOLENCIA A LA ASOCIACIÓN DE AMISTAD “JOSE MARTI” DE TURKIYE.

Queridos amigos y amigas:

Con profundo pesar conocimos del trágico terremoto de 7.8 grados escala Saffir-Simpson que azotó la zona sur de Turkiye, provocando la muerte y desaparición de más de 1000 personas y la destrucción de gran parte de la ciudad de Pazarcik y otras regiones del sur.

En nombre del pueblo cubano, del Instituto Cubano de Amistad con los Pueblos (ICAP) y en el mío propio, les traslado el más sincero y solidario de los abrazos que un hermano puede enviar a otro, en un momento de dolor como el que vive el pueblo turco. Cuba y el ICAP los acompaña en esta hora difícil.

Estamos seguros que, con la solidaridad internacional y el esfuerzo propio, el pueblo de Pazarcik se levantará de las cenizas y tendrá un nuevo amanecer.

Dear friends,

It was with deep regret that we learned of the tragic 7. 8-degree Saffir-Simpson earthquake that struck the southern area of Turkiye, causing the death and disappearance of more than 1,000 people and the destruction of much of the town of Pazarcik and other southern regions.

On behalf of the Cuban people, of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with Peoples and on my own behalf, I convey to you the most sincere and sympathetic hugs that one brother can send to another at a time of sorrow such as that experienced by the Turkish people. Cuba and ICAP are with them in this difficult hour.
We are confident that, with international solidarity and self-effort, the people of Pazarcik will rise from the ashes and have a new dawn.
