Dear friends of Cuba:

Last Tuesday, September 27th, western Cuba was hit by Hurricane Ian, with category 3 in the Saffir-Simpson scale, leaving behind a trail of destruction and the loss of three human lives.

As a result of this, our National Energy System has been seriously damaged. However, we work tirelessly on its recovery.

The main damages are concentrated in agriculture and housing, especially in the lightweight roofs of houses and institutions. Our people are currently focused on recovery efforts to return to normality as soon as possible and bring the necessary help to those affected by the weather phenomenon. No one will be abandoned, this is a principle of our Revolution that we ratify.
